Forester

The Forester is responsible for patrolling the Duchy and keeping out trespassers. He is the commander of the rangers. He is also able to promote soldiers. The Forester answers only to the Duke.

The forester must first be an excellent ranger, meaning he must have good stealth, melee, and archery skills. Then, as a leader, he must also be a good tactician. Most of what I look for in leaders generally is the ability to look arbitrarily at disputes between members and not take sides or become emotionally invested. I think leaders should set examples and represent a sort of rock in a storm. They should be impartial and immune to squabbling and should always present themselves as the voices of prudence and reliability.
