Tier 9 - Militia and Levies
Militiamen are Villeins or Freeman who are called upon by Wessex to fight in battle when needed. Since they are not trained in drills they will more then likely be used as cannon fodder.
Tier 8 - Pedus
Footman are the most basic melee infantry units that are full-time soldiers. They recieve a small tax deduction; however, they must also attend 2 drills every week and are encourage to every drill during the week.
