I hereby swear an oath to Sir Kaylem Sothenic, Constable of Wessex.
Until he bid me leave or shall find in me merits deserving I vow to serve him as his squire,
I shall offer no threat nor insult or ill will to my Lord nor anybody in this Shire,
I shall remain at my Lord’s side on the battlefield,
I shall show no fear or doubt in the tasks given me by my Lord,
I shall share all knowledge I have to everybody it could be helpful to,
I shall remain true and faithful to my Lord and his laws,
I shall defend the beliefs of the Kingdom and my Lord, until my death.
