I am Gerhardt von Estermont, a travelling swordsman who has found his way into the great halls of fair Wessex. I am pleased to present myself in service of His Grace the Duke and all his lords.

I am modestly experienced in the ways of combat and war, being a veteran of more than a few battles in other lands. I thoroughly enjoy discussions regarding strategy and combat philosophy. I am of human origins, though some have rumored that I have a slight Mahirim ancestry. Completely false, of course.

As for my intentions here, I am aiming for a militant citizenship, or militia. I would like to join the military as a footman, but I want to see how Darkfall will actually be before I make such a commitment. I still intend to join in whatever campaigns I may in the meantime, however.

Thou bearest rumors as vile as that? As long as they are just rumors used to discredit thy reputation I see no wrongness in that, however if thy military prowess is as feared as those dogs I am sure His Grace's garrison would be truly delighted to have thee and thy weapon.
