Ordained: Kaideline Taitharn

Within the great halls of the Cathedral the faithful children of Soldeus have gathered to witness the Rite of Ordination. Outside the sun has reached its highest point and the light of the Radiant Lord shines through the dome window above. A dais stands proudly within the circle of light and upon it rests the holy symbol of Soldeus. His Grace, Malachi Drake, stands before the dais as he calls forth Kaideline Taitharn.

"Kaideline Taitharn, as an Archbishop of the Church of Soldeus, I attest that you have received the proper training and that you have proven yourself worthy of Ordination to the Priesthood of the Church of Soldeus. We rely on the help of the Radiant Lord and our Saviour Lucius and, having displayed great piety and devotion to both the diocese of wessex and to Soldeus, we choose you, our sister, for priesthood. Are you willing to serve Soldeus and His Church as a faithful priest?"

Malachi Drake offers his hand to the priestly candidate.

Kaideline Taitharn humbly accepts His Grace's hand.

I, Kaideline Taitharn, make this public vow to our Radiant and Glorious
Lord and to all those present. I give myself willingly and freely into the
service of Soldeus and the Church. I vow to keep myself chaste and pure of
heart and mind so that I may never worry that I have sinned. I shall always
love our Lord and all His children unconditionally and completely and I
swear that I shall guide those that have fallen from his Light with kindness
and mercy and shall not raise my hand to one of Soldeus' children unless I
am forced. I have given all that I have and all that I posses so that I may
see the world through His eyes and so that I may become all that I can in
His service. I vow to spend my life with obedience to my conscience; the
voice of Soldeus, and to His Church so that I may love and be loved by Him.

Kaideline Taitharn kneels before Malachi Drake

His Grace places his hands upon the head of Kaideline and in silent prayer he invokes the blessing of the Heavenly Father and the intercession of all the saints to shine down radiant light upon the new priest.

"May Lucius preserve you to sanctify the people and to offer sacrifice to Soldeus."

The members of the congregation give their approbation by a hearty round of applause. Malachi Drake turns to face the holy symbol of Soldeus and kneels beside the newly ordained priest. Together they lead the congregation in prayer.

"Oh Heavenly Father, Radiant Lord,
Eternal is Your Flame, Sacred is Your Word.
Where there is darkness, Your Light will shine through;
Where there is despair, Your Love will bring Hope;
Where there is doubt, Your Lessons will rekindle faith;
Until the hour of reckoning, when all Sparks become one.
As it is spoken, so shall it be!"
