Here I pledge my service to the Duke of Wessex in perpetuity or until otherwise directed by his proclamation.

In his name I pledge:

To defend his name, honour and Kingdom in perpetuity,
To honour him through maintaining a noble path,
To be a champion honour, loyalty and chivalry,
To continually better myself and pursue an endless quest for knowledge,
and to always respect my fellow man, both noble and common, helping each when in need

I, Manus, Duke of Wessex. Be it known to all that I have accepted Protonix as my squire and heard his oath of squirage. To him I duly promise to provide the proper and right instruction in the customs and traditions of chivalry until such time as he shall become a knight.
