Extremely bad framerate/lag problems

Okay, I was able to log in the very first night and played about 15~20 mins before crashing. Game ran great framerate wise with just big lag spikes. Now after all of the updates, I am able to log in every time (as opposed to never) but when I do get in, even at the character creation screen, I experience horrible framerate/lag. Changed all video settings to lowest helped minorly.

Comp Settings:
AMD Phenom x4 840
4gb ram
Geforce 7025 1 Gb
Windows 7 64 bit

Anyone else experiencing these problems?

I did not experience the lag issue last night, except for brief spikes around heavily populated areas.
