Perhapes when they introduce DF 2010 is it? I heard that's supposed to reduce the grind, my schedules too busy to be actively playing 5+ hours a day to get skills up.

Keep an eye on Darkfalls new Meditation system as that is aimed at helping with the grind. See the blog post (http://www.darkfallonline.com/blog/meditation-system-101/) for more info.

No we are mixed races now, would prove very difficult to do this in Darkfall, the majority seem to be either human, elf or dwarf though.

Yeah, from what I have been reading it is nothing in comparison to the way it was at first. And even so they're still implementing more and more to tone down the grind and implement class roles. The Devs are actually working to make Darkfall great. There have been a lot of re-subscribers since they made forms of combat that aren't magic viable.

If you want to get a feel for the direction Darkfall is taking I would definatly recomend reading the Activity Reports (http://www.darkfallonline.com/blog/tag/activity-report/) on the new blog. Since they made the blog their communication has been much improved and they are also addressing key issues for example Offline Skilling (http://www.darkfallonline.com/blog/meditation-system-101/).

Some also may not be aware of the fact that AOE magic now has a distance scale-factor. This means that there is no more mindless magic spam, you get the maximum damage a spell is capable of by getting a direct hit, but the less accurate you are the less damage dealt by the splash. This is something which had a lot of people biting their tongues in frustration. Those of you who are interested in playing Darkfall more as a melee/archer-dependent will feel much more viable against mages.

NPC citys are not needed, you would be able to get everything you need from our city shops, once we have the members to take one.
Things are dfferent from release and 99% of Darkfalls clans are all mixed race.

I got a text message today saying you were planning on going back to Darkfall. I'm really interested in joining ya'll again.
I might have disappeared and reappeared a couple of times in Mortal Online but the game just wasnt for me, and I still
love Wessex, so I want back in if thats possible.
