APPENDIX

Church Dogma: Dogma is the established belief or doctrine held by the Church that is authoritative and not to be disputed.

Church Lore: All the facts and traditions about the religion at the heart of the Church of Soldeus.

Church of Soldeus: Members of the Church of Soldeus worship Soldeus. This term refers to both the religion that its members follow and to the ecclesiastical body that its members form. It is the official religion of the Kingdom of Hyperion (and thus the Duchy of Wessex) and all members of the clergy are a part of the Church of Soldeus.

Cult of Sol Invictus: An older religion whose teachings have been declare heretical by the Church. Several prominent and key members of the Hyperion Kingdom still follow this religion.

Eccumenical Council: The Eccumenical Council is a conference of the bishops of the whole of the Church of Soldeus; convened to discuss and settle matters of Church doctrine and practice.

Nave: A goddess, who was killed by Umbra in a jealous rage and it is her body that forms the world we inhabit.

Soldeus: The name given to our deity, the Sun God, who is worshiped by both the Church of Soldeus and the Cult of Sol Invictus. He is the King of the gods and has Dominion over both Nave and Heaven.

Sol Invictus: Translated as the “Unconquerable Sun”; refering to Soldeus.

Lucius: The name of our Saviour, of Soldeus Incarnate.

Umbra: The dark and twisted lesser brother of Soldeus who always seeks to corrupt the work of Soldeus and take dominion over Nave.

Yes. More will be added over time, specifically relating to the practices of the Church. But the actual Lore on which the religion is based will not change much, if at all.

Anyone is welcome to adopt this religion for MortalOnline (it will be in our best interests) but I am not sure when this will be actively advertised on the Mortal forum.

I can really see a religion like this become powerful, however we need to hope that the religion system is somewhat advanced as they claim it will be.

Once we can actually play this build we can start planning.

Yeah they have said the religeon system won't be in at launch as they havent had to time to complete it.
But Im sure it won't take too long to get out.

It's not such a bad thing though. A, it gives us more time for alterations if we need them, B, we can do more recruiting for the Church and C we still need to build a settlement and I can imagine the church would be last on the list of importance to be honest.

It goes without saying that claiming some land for the Duchy, equipping ourselves to defend it, building a guild hall and purchasing a charter (or whatever it is called) are going to be to be the universal priorities of all members. But once that is done, unless something pops up, I would like to see the Church members (and some faithful volunteers) erect a small Church or Monastery. Once we get access to the best materials and blue prints then a marvellous Cathedral will be constructed that will be the envy of all nations.
