TO ALL AND SINGULAR to whom these presents shall come, we, Laylah Sothenic and Twyster Stronngust, Heralds of Wessex, send greetings and good tidings!

WHEREAS the loyal and virtuous Order of St. Lucian of Riada, known famously as "The Merciful Harbingers", has demonstrated both fervid faith and martial valor and been duly instituted by His Excellency, the Right Honorable Malachi Drake, Bishop of Wessex, he is desirous of having Letters Patent of Armorial Ensigns granted and appointed unto them and duly recorded in His Grace's College of Arms, and accordingly hath rightly requested by the favor of His Grace’s Warrant our granting and assigning such Arms.

AND FOREASMUCH as in the name of His Grace the Duke of Wessex and by Warrant under his Seal we are authorised and directed to grant and assign such Arms and Crest and in the same Patent such Device and Badge accordingly, Know Ye therefore that Twyster Stronngust and I in pursuance of His Grace's Warrant and by virtue of the Letters Patent granted by the Duke's Most Excellent Grace do by these Presents grant and assign unto the said Order of St. Lucian of Riada the Arms following,

THAT IS TO SAY: A field Argent, charged with a Crux Potens upon the Honour Point, Sable; thus, mantled with Chains from which depend two holy Tomes-- representing the Revealed Word of the Radiant Lord and the Acts of His Beloved St. Lucian. This, crested by a Horse shared by two knightly Riders-- representative of the mutual aid, charity, and individual poverty of the members of the Order-- and the crest circumscribed by the motto of the Order, on a medallion Or. The Escutcheon supported by a pair of Swords arranged pilewise (their points touching at the base), to represent the two privileges and duties of the Order, to wit the ever-ready defense of the Faith of the Radiant Lord and the guardianship of His Creation, with His Help and by His Grace. The whole of which comprises the Heraldic Achievement.

THESE MAY BE BORNE and used forever hereafter by the said Order of St. Lucian of Riada and its pious members, including all Priests or Knights of the Church, with the due and proper differences pertaining to those vocations according to the Laws of Arms; to wit but not limited to that a Knight of the Order may display a Helm, Or, closed, between the escutcheon and the crest, and that in the case of the Grandmaster of the Order, he may as Abbot substitute a Mitre, Or, for the Helm, or surmount the Crest with the same Mitre, Or, at his discretion.

Those of the Order who are not licensed to bear Arms may be permitted by the Grandmaster of the Order to wear or display instead the Badge of the Order, to consist of the Crest of two Knights on one Horse on a medallion Or, circumscribed with the Motto of the Order, as he prefers.

In witness whereof we have to these Presents subscribed our names and I attached the Crimson Wyvern Seal, by the Grace of Our Radiant Heavenly Lord and the Protector of his Faithful, the Duke of Wessex.
