A small crowd began forming in the courtyard as a small carriage pulled up to the main gate. A long procession of cavaliers shrouded in bright yellow and midnight black came to a halt while footmen filed to the left side of the carriage and began to form up.
A young feminine herald belted forth an introduction to announce the arrival of the mysterious dignitary. "To all before me, Salve! It is with honor and humility that I present the honorable Doge of the Crowned Republic of the Silver Sun; His Grace, Brando de Medici."
A familiar figure emerged from the carriage and began to make his way towards the ducal court...
