The Treaty of Vadda
A treaty of non-aggression between the
Duchy of Wessex
and the
Variorum Alliance

Article 1:
Both Contracting Parties undertake to maintain peaceful and friendly relations between them and mutually respect the territorial integrity and inviolability of the other Contracting Party.

Article 2:
The ultimate aim of this treaty is to avoid war or armed conflict between the Contracting Parties and to ensure that any and all disputes are resolved through peaceful negotiations.

Article 3:
Should one of the Contracting Parties become the object of hostilities on the part of one or several third powers, the other Contracting Party will observe neutrality throughout the duration of the conflict.

Article 4:
This treaty comes into force from the day of its ratification by both Contracting Parties (when a copy is posted publicly on the forums of both Contracting Parties) and remains valid indefinitely until one or both of the Contracting Parties publicly denounces the treaty on the other Contracting Party's forum.

Article 5:
Before this treaty can be ratified each Contracting Party must provide the other with a current list of its member states or vassals (or any other body that form part of a Contracting Party). A Contracting Party is obliged to inform the other Contracting Party of any revisions made to this list and no changes will be recognised under this treaty until they are posted on the other Contracting Parties forum.

Article 6:
Each Contracting Party is responsible for taking steps to ensure that neither they, their governing body nor any of their subjects or citizens (nor any other individual who comes under its jurisdiction) violates the treaty. The Contracting Parties will not belittle or disrespect the expressed beliefs, defining principles, and stated goals of their fellow Contracting Party.

Article 7:
The Contracting Parties have the right to raise any concerns that they may have with the other Contracting Party's implementation of this treaty but entrust the other Contracting Party to resolve these concerns in the manner they deem best.

Article 8:
The Contracting Parties may independently or mutually denounce the treaty at any time and for any reason.

Article 9:
Any amendments or additions to the Treaty may only be made if both Contracting Parties are in full agreement to the proposed changes. Any such changes will take effect when the updated treaty is made publicly viewable on both Contracting Parties' forums.

Let all subjects of His Grace the Duke of Wessex know that this Treaty is, as of the 29th of June of the Year of Our Radiant Lord Two Thousand and Ten, superceded by the Treaty of the Promethean Keep. By the Wyvern Seal of Wessex and my hand I certify that the supercession of this document is valid and is duly recorded.
