It is good to remember that these awards are given because someone has done something that has benefited another person(s) in such a positive way that they have taken the time to make a medal recommendation.

This is the perfect opportunity to recognise the achievements and contributions you have all made that make Wessex the community that it is today. If you haven’t been nominated at this ceremony then don’t be disheartened. Enjoy the community spirit that you are a part of and keep doing what you are doing and I am sure that credit will come where it is due in time.

I would like to thank all of you for making Wessex the community that it is today.
